Can I use my Apollo 2 tablet to watch live TV?

The Apollo 2 product will allow you to watch live TV services via a web service without any issues, as long as you have a stable internet connection with available Wifi.

Can I use my Apollo 2 tablet to watch live or on demand streaming services?

The Apollo 2 product has been tested as working with a number of streaming services including Netflix, Spotify, Now TV, Sky Go, Disney + and Twitch. If you have a query on additional streamining services compatibility, please contact technicalsupport@eu.hannspree.com

Can I use my Apollo 2 tablet to watch videos on apps like YouTube?

The Apollo 2 product has been tested as working using the YouTube app, it also works using the YouTube Gaming variant.

Can I connect my Apollo 2 tablet up to my TV or PC monitor?

Yes, the product incorporates a Mini HDMI port to allow connection to your TV display or Monitor. Please use the Mini HDMI to HDMI cable provided and connect it from your device to your corresponding display. If you need further assistance please contact technicalsupport@eu.hannspree.com

Can I screen cast my Apollo 2 tablet to my smart TV?

Yes - the product supports screen cast. You find this function in the Android Quick Settings menu.

SOUND

I want to connect my device to my TV, but will the sound come from my Apollo 2 tablet?

 Your TV receives the sound via HDMI. There is no sound on the tablet.

Does the sound and microphone on this device work correctly with calling apps? 

The Apollo 2 tablet incorporates both built in speakers and a microphone to allow you to connect with your friends, family and peers through voice calling apps.

Can you tell me which media formats my Apollo 2 device is compatible with?

Which charger should I use with this product?

Please make use of the provided power plug with DC input cable to charge your device - If you have any issues with this please contact technicalsupport@eu.hannspree.com

Can I charge my device through my PC?

Yes - Using the USB-C cable provided, please connect this directly from your PC to your tablet device to begin charging.

Can I use a USB hub to charge my device?

As long as your USB hub can provide a stable output of 5v, 2a - This will charge your device, please refrain from using peripheral charging stations that don't meet these requirements.

WORK FROM HOME

Can I use Zoom, Microsoft teams and Google drive on this device for work purposes?

The product has been tested and confirmed as compatible using a range of 'work from home' suited applications, if you do have further queries please contact technicalsupport@eu.hannspree.com

SOFTWARE SUPPORT

How can I transfer files from my PC to my Tablet or vice versa using Windows 10?

Using USB cable. Please connect the provided USB cable between the Apollo 2 device's USB type C port and your PC , then change the option in the quick settings menu for what you'd like to do with the device.

Can I connect and transfer files from my non Windows PC to my Apollo 2 Tablet?

Before I buy the product, I'd like to know if the applications and software I have will work?

If you have any software you'd like to confirm as compatible with the Apollo tablet, please contact technicalsupport@eu.hannspree.com to discuss more.

I'd like to upgrade or downgrade the OS on this device for personal reasons, can you guide me through this process?

Unfortunately we cannot advise you on manually changing or amending the OS installed from sale. As this OS has been pre-determined as compatible with the device, we cannot gaurentee that any alternative OS would run correctly or cause the device to malfunction.

Am I able to factory reset my device?

Yes
1. Reset under Settings.
2. Reset with Hotkeys. Press Volume + and power button at the same time until the select boot mode appears.

Does the tablet allow to wake the screen with just the touch of the hand on the display?

In order to wake up the screen by touching please enable the “Gesture wakeup” function in the Settings.

How is internal memory viewed by Android?

Go to Files app, you will find the internal Storage.

Will the tablet’s source code be available?

No, it won't. Despite the tablet using Android's core, it hasn't undergone any rewriting. Additionally, the cross-platform hardware layer technology is developed and owned by a software solution supplier, which does not adopt the GNU GPL.

Why is screen cast or Wi-Fi often interrupted?

Please check the security setting of the router and change to WPA2.
